The History of Fabriform Neken - Our Story
Easy Tile wall panels are produced by Fabriform Neken Ltd - a company which has been trading for more than 50 years.
So how did it all begin?
Founder Geoffrey Kneen started the company, Fabriform (Plastic Displays) Ltd in 1959, originally producing plastic display units for the corsetry industry. As business grew, new ideas based upon the use of thermoplastics were developed and by the early 1960s Geoffrey supplied plastic tool cases to Phillips to be used by their teams of TV repairmen.

The turning point?
Solving a serious problem of condensation in a client's heated swimming pool enclosure took Geoffrey to a completely different market - tiling. Since this, his products have found worldwide markets as far away as Japan, with over 30 million tile panels produced to date.
What makes the product so different?
Expanded polystyrene with its insulating qualities was becoming more widely accepted and marrying this material with the high quality finish of High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) was a logical progression.
The Company expands
Using innovative thermoforming techniques and machinery, the first Neken Wall Tile Panels appeared on the market. The company name changed Fabriform Neken Ltd and Paul, Geoffrey's son, joined the business. Paul introduced a wider range of finishes, colours and designs aimed at the tiling, DIY and decorative market, and the company moved to new purpose built premises in Liphook, Hampshire.
And now?
A new name and brand identity, 'Easy Tile' has now replaced Neken Wall Tiles. Easy Tile wall panels and transfer lines are now sold online and through retailers in the UK and abroad. The vision that Geoffrey Kneen had in 1959 when starting his company has finally come to fruition with the innovative Easy Tile wall panel set to revolutionise the future of tiling.
